Bueno chicos, para la clase de hoy vamos a explicar un tema
nuevo.
Vamos a utilizar esta estructura para decir lo que HAY en
un lugar. Habrá que prestar atención si lo que HAY es UNA COSA o MUCHAS.
¿Cómo decimos hay?
Vamos a decir THERE IS.
Por ejemplo: Hay un perro en el bosque. There is a DOG in the forest.
Ahora… ¿Qué pasa si hay más de un perro? En ese caso,
utilizaremos THERE ARE.
THERE ARE TWO DOGS IN
THE FOREST.
Con esto en mente copiamos el título y la actividad que se
plantea:
There is
and There are
We use THERE IS for the
SINGULAR.
We use THERE ARE for
the PLURAL.
Example Singular: THERE
IS A BOY IN THE PARK
PLURAL: THERE ARE 30
STUDENTS IN THE CLASSROOM
Pay attention: IN the
plural we use NUMBERS.
ACTIVITY: COMPLETE THE
SENTENCES WITH IS OR ARE

2) There _______ three boys in the supermarket
3) There _______ a dog in my park
4) There _______ four students in the class.
